On this website, you can find information including: global production and consumption of olive oil, it’s history, Portuguese olive oil regions, classification, production methods, uses in cooking and of course, information on each of Herdade do Esporão’s olive oil products.
Herdade do Esporão olive oils are made exclusively from native olive varieties from Southern Portugal, including those harvested from Herdade do Esporão’s 82 hectares of olive groves. The oil is produced in a special lagar (olive press) according to local tradition. Herdade do Esporão only makes virgin and extra-virgin oils, with absolutely no refined or non-Portuguese olive oil added. This way, they create a 100% pure oil that preserves all the flavor, aroma and freshness of every olive.
